This is an original painting called Salutation which was made very recently using Acrylic, Ink, and Watercolour on 300gsm watercolour paper.
Last week, the lovely Jo who runs the print side of my business ordered about 10 prints which then arrived in my new shed for signing. it was a bit of a mixture of old and new and it was a real treat to look back at some of the work from last year. Paintings like Days of Wine and Roses and The Allotment really resonated with me. I thought that I'd have another go of making one of those type of paintings and see what happens. This is it! I've named it Salutation after the house of the same name in nearby Sandwich that suffered awful damage after the flood last week. Their beautiful gardens, that have taken over a decade to reconstruct have been trashed. I've included a blue dove as a nod towards the original biblical flood. I hope that you like it (the painting: not the flood!)

The painting is approximately 12" x 9" (30cm x 22cm) and is unmounted and unframed
